Acidophilus Down the Hatch

Spring Valley Probiotic Crohn's DiseaseSo, it's been a week of me taking probiotics. I started last tuesday morning, taking three tablets as directed. I picked up a pretty inexpensive bottle from Walmart.

I wanted to try something to see if it made a difference.  Right now, my gut feels weird.  After doing a little research, I did learn that there is sort of an adjustment period. People who take probiotics can experience extra bloating, gas, or weird bowel movement patterns.

The Spring Valley Probiotic I purchased has active cultures, which is good.  There are plenty of cultures and the capsules are strong enough to deliver the good bacteria to your intestine.   When looking into probiotics, you will find some brands have higher counts of bacteria. These are usually numbered in the billions.  The more the better.

Spring Valley Probiotic Crohn's DiseaseAnother item to research is the type of bacteria. The one I'm taking contains acidophilus.  I haven't done too much research on amounts and types of bacteria. I plan on looking into it and hope to let you all know.

Thanks for reading and following.  I setup a new instagram.  Follow me @CrohnsfighterKC.
