Sunday's Fun Workout From Heck

We switched the Sunday workout a little. After Thursday, I was still feeling the burn. We were looking for some different, something active.  We had originally planned to drive to St. Joseph, MO for Kansas City Chiefs training camp. We purchased season tickets this year and Sunday was blocked off for those members. We didn't go because of the rain.

So, looking for something else to do, Jess suggested SkyZone.  I hopped into the Groupon app and found a couple of 2-hour jump passes.  Once we arrived, we filled out our waivers (make sure you do it before going to the counter) and were on our way.

Jumping for that long is something else! It took pretty much my whole body to keep jumping as high and long as I was.  Jumping into the foam pit was fun.  I'm glad I was reminded to not jump into the pit with my phone.  That could have been bad if dropped. Haha.  I attempted some flips, the main word there is attempted.  It's in the video.  My better half was able to have a little more fun tumbling.  She used to be a gymnast.

I took a swing at the warped wall, which was fun and not as difficult as I thought.  The climbing wall was awesome and I think I need to incorporate that into my workout somehow.  I loved the feeling of pulling yourself up and trying to decide where to place your hands and feet. I was covered with sweat after the short climb. My Fitbit said I burned around 600 after the two hours, while my Apple Watch said I burned around 1200.  I'm not sure which one is right, but I'm sure it was a great deal. Like I've mentioned, my goal isn't to burn calories, but to get stronger.

I think after this weekends outing, we may have to incorporate around gyms with day passes into the routine.  Crossfit, boxing, or a climbing gym. Those all sound fun.

Thanks for reading.
